With the Dualshock 3 coming out into stores this month in the USA we expected the Sixaixs to be discontinued as everyone would now be buying the rumble controller. SCEA has announced that after the current stock of Sixaxis runs out no more will be made. This also means all PS3’s will now come with the DS3. If your going to buy a PS3 soon we would wait until the DS3’s are added. However, there is still no word on the European release. Rumours are fling around that May 2 is the date!

Sixaxis Discontinued!
With the US release next week the Playstation Blog has revealed the official compatability list. Most of the current and future games are included. However, there has been one big surprise. They have announced that games that have rumble with carry the new logo for Dualshock 3! Don’t we expect all new releases to include rumble anyway, so what’s the point? Dualshock 3 for Europe on May 2?
Yes, you have heard right! Dutch site Playstation Only has reported that the DS3, which is released in the USA in April, could be made available to the PAL regions in early May. This information has come from a ‘reliable source’. So far, no comment has come from sony regarding the EU price or release. Hopefully, we will get it soon as most games already support rummble and others do with a downloadable patch!
